Mary spent ten years in the ad agency business in the midwest and Southern California as a copywriter/producer for financial services, automotive and media clients. She then left the ad business to start a freelance writing career, serving American Honda, Nissan North America, Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A., the Los Angeles Daily News, Kinecta Federal Credit Union, Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems and Wescom Credit Union in Los Angeles, and Ball Aerospace in Boulder, Colorado.

Mary earned a B.S. degree in Journalism from Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio, and was a beat reporter for WOHO Radio, Toledo. She has done postgraduate work at the University of Southern California and is a certified Reiki and Animal Reiki Master.
