I've been a big fan of the Eurovision Song Contest since the late 90's; I got to experience, for instance, the historic language rule change that has allowed English to remain the hegemonic force for the years to come, which has curiously taken Sweden, not the UK or Ireland, to the top of the European Pop game, creating three winners (1999, 2012, 2015) for the Nordic nation, and winning entries from other countries that include Swedish songwriter/production credits.
