Lila Templin is a high school senior at Pioneer Valley Performing Arts Charter School. She's been writing as long as she knew how, and specializes in poetry and theater. In 2018 she was awarded a Silver Medal from the National Scholastic Arts and Writing Competition for her collection of poetry "Things I Felt In August". In the summer of 2018 she spent 4 weeks at Brown University in a poetry workshop with Brown's head of literary arts, Peter Gale Nelson. Her full length play "Shapeless" was chosen as PVPA's singular theater senior thesis, and was put on with a full production budget in November of 2018. She was also nominated as PVPA's representative for the Nation Counselor of Teachers of English writing award in 2018. A lot happened in 2018.

She's been a member of her school's sketchwriting troupe, Headgear, since 2017, and has written dozens of sketches since. She's written several pieces for her school's Mock Trial team, including opening statements and direct examinations. In her personal time, she works on writing poetry, shorts, plays, and novels, including participation in 5 National Novel Writing Months (or NaNoWriMo). She had completed drafts of three novels so far.
