Keri Luise

Journalism Student

United States of America

I am currently a sophomore at Towson University majoring in Mass Communication with a Journalism track and minoring in Religious Studies. I write weekly articles for my university's news publication "The Towerlight" as a staff writer. I hope in the upcoming years I can work my way up the ladder with the publication and possibly become a news editor. In previous years, I wrote articles for my high school news publication and was the Feature News editor for it my senior year. I also led the organization of a yearly magazine for the high school publication. Writing has been my passion for as long as I can remember, and I hope to continue writing in my future career as a journalist. I want to put my voice out into the world and experience new adventures. I hope that journalism will allow me to travel and cover news all around. My ultimate dream is to be a writer for National Geographic and travel the world. I am looking forward to journalism being a challenging and exciting career that will keep me active, alert, and focused. Email me at [email protected]

The Spontaneous Hike

When people hear hiking, a lot of the time they think of it as a kind of work out. Because of this, it makes hikers need more of a motivational push to go outdoors and actually do it.
