Katrina started her career at KFOR-TV in 2015 as a news writer while also attending the University of Central Oklahoma. She obtained her Bachelor's the following year, and in 2017, joined KFOR-TV's digital team as a digital content producer. During her time in this role, she produced and published stories for the news station's website. Additionally, she assisted with the station's social media platforms.

She later transitioned to the team at BabyGaga, a parenting and pregnancy news website, as a freelance news and feature writer. Katrina was invited to join the company's breaking news team and a new initiative that included editing previous articles to fit current guidelines.

Katrina currently freelances for Verywell Family, an award-winning website library for all things parenting- and pregnancy-related.
