A Network Evaluation of Attitudes Toward Gays and Lesbians Among U.S. Military Cadets

The U.S. military's ban on open homosexuality has become an increasingly salient issue since its implementation in 1993 and its repeal in 2011. The military is an organization with a unique professional and social organization. Evaluating military attitudes from a network perspective may offer insight into the role of formal and informal leadership in engendering attitudinal change and cultural tolerance around homosexuality.

Female GIs have worked hard to be treated as equals

I know that DADT repeal, the lifting of the combat exclusion policy and the push for military criminal justice reform are not decisions that have just happened to women. These are victories that military women have actively shaped and influenced for themselves.
