Kate Smith

Words are my (every)thing. I learned at a young age that writing was my way of expressing creativity and bringing ideas to fruition. Since then, I've continued to hone my craft in the hopes of helping others communicate their own stories to the fullest.

I was fortunate to land some marketing internships after college, but couldn’t shake the desire to study abroad. When the opportunity arose, I took the plunge and ventured across the pond to London, England, to my her master’s degree in marketing. I was invigorated to came back to the states more eager than ever to find a place to flex my creative muscles (the only muscles I have, let's be honest) amid fellow imaginative minds.

I found this at a small agency called Youtech in April 2017, when I began my first full-time writing gig as a content writer. I thoroughly enjoy that no two days are the same, writing blogs, articles, and website content for a variety of clients. To fight the occasional writer’s block, I immediately reach for my trusty coffee mug and turn to my family’s endless movie quotes, dad jokes banter for inspiration. I'm a firm believer in the Oxford comma and that spelling is the difference between knowing your crap and knowing you’re crap.

Other factoids: I take my coffee black, try to fit a pun into every conversation, and listen to "End of the Road" by Boyz II Men every day because it's one of the greatest songs of our time.
