Jay is a Philadelphia native. His interests include black foodways, superhero comics, Marxism, eco-theology and fantasy novels.
Between July and October of 1988, Marvel Comics released a 4-issue Black Panther mini-series titled “A Hero No More!” with story, pencils, ink, letters and colors respectively by Peter Gillis, Denys Cowan, Sam DeLaRosa, Rick Parker and Bob Sharen.
