e. motion: The Apparel Design Fashion Show

Rapson Hall grew dim and the spot lights burst on, igniting thrill in the audience and intensity in the courtyard. Twelve senior designers and their collections, that they have been working tirelessly on, are about to hit the stage for the first time. It feels almost like I'm sitting third row at New York Fashion Week.

Bare And Beautiful

We are covered in detail when we are covered by very little. The beauty marks on our skin, the snags in the fabric of our clothes, to the way we wear our hair and lay our hands are all minimal representation of beautiful expression, unique to you.

My Skin. My Art. Your Questions. - Hillary Streitberger - Medium

This piece is merely to address how I see myself verses the way others see me. It's raw and it's emotional, but hopefully it clears up any misconstrued ideas anyone has of me. Just know that my art, based off of the way I see myself, comes first.

A Royal Recap

Let's talk the biggest event of the year. You know, the one you woke up in the middle of the night for, with millions of other people, hoping to get a glimpse of the future duchess and her duke, pre-ceremony. Of course we are turning the royal wedding into a red carpet event.

Reflecting on the '90s. A look back on a colorful era.

The '90s were never something I liked reflecting on much as I got older. It took me awhile to realize the indentation its art left on me. Bringing back the '90s, for me, was monumental; something I did not think I would ever look forward to doing.

NCU style watch: spring edition - The Northerner

Now that the weather has started to ease up and sunshine is becoming more consistent, spring style is in full bloom around campus. This time of year, we keep the layers, but add more colors. North Central students all have their very own take on how they pursue fashion in each season, but often there are hidden gems- ones that dress against the status quo.

Weekend Wear // Weekend Beauty

Ive always been somewhat of a minimalist when it comes to my beauty routine. When it comes to skincare, I pile it on. My motto there is "the more moisturizer the better". But when it comes to makeup, I am quite the opposite, hardly wearing anything at all.

Weekend Wear // Fall Florals

Florals for fall? Groundbreaking. No, but really. Theres no need to put away those summer prints just yet. Time to start eyeing all things floral as we cross over into autumn. The great thing is, you dont have to stray from some of your favorite summer tones.

NCU fashion watch: Makenna and Caleb - The Northerner

Winter arrived late this year, but there is no denying the bite the air now holds. This makes it an incredible time to play around with your wardrobe. We are not far enough from fall to tuck those light pieces away, but being so close to winter, throw some of those chunky pieces in the mix!

The Beauty of a Rule Breaker

My interests lie in writing, photography, illustration, fashion and art. It is impossible for me to choose one. Believe me, I have tried! But, the pressure of having a job title is very much real and I have decided to be rebellious against it.
