Heather Hubbard-Peace

English Professor, Freelance Writer

United States of America

I am an English professor for Ashford University. I teach Freshman Composition and Research/Composition. Previously, I taught Basic English, and English Composition and Reading at Barstow Community College.
Prior to teaching, I focused on journalism. I researched and interviewed bands for an online music website, Dead on the Web, as well as the Coyote Chronicles, Cal State San Bernardino's newspaper.
In graduate school, I helped create the online literary journal, The Coachella Review. As the Film and Plays editor, I pitched ideas for stories, interviewed high profile professionals in the theater and film industry, and wrote articles based on my interviews. I also sought out talent for short films to be included in our publication.

I have a BA in English from Cal State San Bernardino and an MFA from the University of California Riverside.
