I'm a freelance writer based in Greensboro, NC, specializing in food writing. I fell in love with food and with cooking while studying abroad in England. When I returned to the States, I discovered food blogs and Food Network, and for the first time, I did something other than eating in the kitchen. I was hooked. Shortly thereafter, I re-kindled my love of writing during my final semester of college, and started my own food blog, Tiptoes in the Kitchen. My reckless abandon approach towards cooking has me consistently attempting (and cursing) new recipes, and my innate curiosity has me constantly reaching for the stories that surround what we eat. I'm particularly fascinated by the memories we associate with food and the traditions we preserve and acquire. I'm forever thinking of my next meal, and am always on the hunt for the best restaurant or hidden culinary gem in each new city I visit, and of course, the perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe.
