I set out to write a profile on the Pep Band to accomplish my goal of writing for all four sections of The Santa Clara. Since we covered the Dance Team in week four, I thought it was only fair that we also give exposure to the official band of Santa Clara Athletics.
In this issue I authored and co-authored two front-page stories, as well as designed the layout for pages 1-3 as News Editor.
A week after this story was published in print and online, university officials instructed The Santa Clara to remove this story from our website, not because of inaccurate reporting, but rather over concerns the university had about certain comments and follow-up coverage included in the article.
