Valencia 2018 From the inside

The World Half Marathon Championships played out in a beautiful city for running Sunday, 8am - We're running along the former Turia riverbed. Signs denote exactly where we should run. The blue line from yesterday's race is vivid, but there is little else to remind us that last night two new World Half Marathon Champions were crowned.

Team ASSOS at the 2018 ABSA Cape Epic is made up of Christopher Haas and Stephan Weber, road riders, keen triathletes, and longtime friends from Germany. This year marked the 70th edition of this deggedly popular event, and race organiser Gianni Demadonna maintains realistic aspirations of the standard of runners that the crowds want to see: "We need athletes who have medals at the World Champs or Olympic Games and new athletes who can be Champions in the future.

When April Comes | Tracksmith

As we wait for the bill from the now harassed-looking waitress,, the stream of runners coming down from the marathon's mountaintop finish increases. This has been a hard day for all, but as with any stage race, those who finish first get more time to recover, winning the race to the table if you will.

The Restless Energy of Marco de Gasperi

Run the Alps' Emmie Collinge describes her experiences meeting and running with the impressive Marco de Gasperi, who has developed some exciting new trail races in Valtellina, Italy. Raised on a diet of mountains and fresh air on the outskirts of neighboring Bormio, a town in Northern Italy near the Swiss border, 39-year-old Marco de Gasperi's running career followed a fairly direct, albeit mountain-orientated trajectory.

Skyrunning: taking running to a whole new level

I sat at the top of the mountain for more than three hours before flying down; I've got the sunburn and the haphazard video of the flight to prove it. Fortunately no broken bones, just a descent that scared me too much to attempt.

Emilie Forsberg - Ski Mountaineer And Skyrunning Sensation

The mosquitoes are here with a vengeance. I immediately regret my choice of shorts and a t-shirt. Yet sitting opposite me, World Skyrunning Champion Emelie Forsberg remains unfazed, the occasional swat giving away the slightest hint of annoyance. As someone who's grown up ski mountaineering and mountain running, she's obviously had bigger things to worry about than mosquitoes.
