the lifers (fiction)
When his wife shoots the neighbor's sheep he thinks "alright, I guess there's something wrong."
I am a Portland-based writer, editor, and freelancer with a passion for history, theory, and small presses. Currently, I am the fiction editor for CutBank Literary Magazine at the University of Montana, where I am completing an MFA in creative writing. I managed the "Notable Portland" column for The Rumpus from 2019-2020, am a frequent contributor at Drizzle Review and half&half.com, and serve as a staff reader for Emerson College's Ploughshares Magazine and Literary Orphans online. Additionally, I was an Editorial Intern with Tin House Books from 2018-2019 and completed a two-year tenure as senior co-editor and publisher of University of Portland's Writers Magazine in 2019. I am an experienced and passionate editor and copywriter with a desire to continually expand my professional horizons and stretch the bounds of rhetoric. I look forward to writing with you!
