Freelance Writer

Australia

A friend told me, never to be afraid of what you write. Never worry that you won't get a job because of your words. The next day I quit my job as a government scientist and six months later found myself travelling Australia in my little four-wheel drive.

And so I write. Knowing that my ideas are in constant flux, knowing that I will outdate myself, not recognising the voice I spoke with even a few weeks ago.

Much more than feeling awkward and premature, perhaps the beauty of the human condition is in trusting that there is no one final answer. There is no one truth. Only many subjective realities and softly whispered answers to the question, 'what are the small, strange things that make your eyes sparkle?'

So, sit down with me. I want to hear them all.
