A recent article published in DCU's student paper, The College View, exposed the poor living conditions in student accommodation on St Patrick's campus. Despite a significant increase in rent following the incorporation, no improvements have been made. Reporter William Dunne went to St Patrick's accommodation to see the conditions for himself.

DCU students have paid over €50,000 in fines to DCU library in 2016, the highest rate since 2013, according to a Freedom of Information request obtained by The College View. Students paid €54,186.65 in library book fines last year, seeing a rise of €5,000 from the previous year 2015, in which students paid €49,045.41.
