David B. Baxley

Graphic Designer and Photographer

United States

David owes his photographic spark to his parents, who introduced him to the craft when he was a youngster. During family outings near his home in South Carolina's Low Country, David worked with vintage cameras to create images that soon won exposure at local art shows. As a sophomore in high school, he was nominated to attend the prestigious Governor's School for the Arts. He later earned a B.A. in visual arts from Lander University. He also has studied photography at the Corcoran College of Art and Design in Washington, D.C.

His photographic subjects range from recording artists to architecture, and he's garnered several national awards for his work. Armed with training in the fine arts, David has the rare ability to incorporate creative depth to nearly every image. No matter what the subject, he feeds off the subject's energy to make memorable, timeless art.

Capturing a moment in time that feeds the soul is something that David takes to heart with every assignment, large or small. He takes the raw essence of a subject and simply makes it unforgettable.

Some call that art. David simply calls it his heart's desire.
