Chana Tolchin

Hi, I'm Chana.

My lifelong love of writing led me to purse a B.A. in English and Creative Writing from Barnard College (Columbia University). While on campus, I was an Editor of the Barnard Bulletin. Since graduation, I have put my writing skills to work creating article content, writing for a non-profit, proofreading marketing materials, assisting with social media writing for a band, and editing student essays.

While working as the Operations Assistant at a security systems company, I honed my technical writing abilities. In that position, I was responsible for writing weekly Technical/Safety emails as well as summarizing technical work for customers. I also assisted with sales proposals, Health and Safety plans, and marketing materials.

I am also a tutor, teaching writing and language arts (in addition to math). I enjoy writing fiction and poetry. Additionally, I am a visual artist and I run art workshops. I create flyers and marketing material in Canva (shown below) to advertise art events.
