Ingleside Middle School staffer reflects on 40 years of service

In November, Ingleside Middle School staff member Roni Scholz was recognized for 40 years of service to the Scottsdale Unified School District. Over the course of her career, Scholz has worked a variety of positions at over seven schools. In each role, Scholz strives to help her students excel, recognizing that the students in her classroom today represent the future.

Yarn bombing fad hits the Arcadia greenbelt

Yarn bombing is the latest craze in street art to sweep the globe. Yarn bombers use knit patterns instead of the traditional medium of paint to leave their mark. In April, yarn bombing made its debut in Arcadia when one of the benches along the 48th Street green belt was "bombed" with colorful yarn work.

Local boy busts a move for breast cancer

Each October, pink ribbons begin to appear on everything from cereal boxes to NFL team uniforms in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. First Education Fair to be held at Phoenix Convention Center

Deciding which education system is right for a child can be difficult, so monthly magazine Raising Arizona Kids organized its first Education Fair, which they hope to hold annually, to aid in streamlining the process. Ro Ho En garden celebrates 40 years of friendship

Situated in the heart of downtown Phoenix, the Japanese Friendship Garden is an urban oasis that embodies a rich history of friendship between the cities of Phoenix and Himeji, Japan. Since its proposal in 1987 by then-Himeji mayor Matsuji Totani, the garden has promoted appreciation for the Japanese culture and served as a tranquil refuge from the stresses of everyday life.
