Caroline Gonzalez

My name is Caroline Marie Gonzalez. I am a 26-year old Hispanic-female with a degree in journalism and communication from Florida International University. At 18 years of age, I began exploring my skills in journalism. I had acquired an internship with the Miami Herald and Donna Gehrke-White, who is a Pulitzer-award winning journalist, was my mentor. White instilled in me the skills and insight necessary to deliver a well-researched article.

Once in college, I spent four years on a pre-med track before I decided to continue developing my journalistic skills. Later, at FIU’S Biscayne Bay Campus, I acquired some key skills, including producing and editing both photo and video; some more writing and reporting skills and web development training using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
