Catching up with the Corkman who landed the biggest bet in Cheltenham history

Conor Murphy might be a resident of Kentucky for the last ten years, but that thick west Cork accent has very much remained. One word is clearly heard though, over and over again. That word is 'lucky'. Hardly surprising for a man who, a decade ago, landed the biggest bet in Cheltenham Festival history while working as a head lad for Nicky Henderson.

Remembering Sean Cleary 18 years after tragic death following Galway fall

18 years ago this week, Irish horseracing endured one of its most tragic tales. Sean Cleary, one of the country's most promising young riders, sadly died just a week after suffering a horrific fall on the flat at Galway in late October 2003. The aftermath shook the sport to its very core.
