RMU changes summer housing locations

In a change from previous years, Robert Morris University will not be providing summer housing in the apartments on campus, and students who planned to use the free residency are confused and upset about the changes.

Construction of the UPMC Events Center is underway

Due to the construction of Robert Morris University's new UPMC Events Center, there have been changes made to campus for the duration of the project. According to the university, the new home of Colonials basketball and volleyball is planned to open in January 2019.

New dining hours prompt students to demand change

Entering the fall semester at Robert Morris University, the dining hours were abruptly changed without any consultation with RMU students or warning creating an uproar around campus. Many students flocked to each other, their professors, the dining staff and even social media to express their frustration with the change.

In May 2008, after decades of working in corporate public relations, Carolyn Thomas was finally doing what she loved working as a public relations person for non-profit organizations such as the Palliative Care Society. On top of work, she was staying active as a run leader in the local YMCA’s marathon clinic and balancing her social life with her friends and family when she joined, what she calls, an “exclusive club no one ever wants to be a part of”.
