I have been an independent author, analyst, and journalist for more than 20 years. I have 35 years' experience in analyzing and writing about technology trends, particularly in in Telecommunications and IT. I have written six books for the US mass market (4 on computer software, one on airplanes, one on the Civil War), numerous user manuals, hundreds of reports, and more than 2,000 magazine features.

I have been employed as a senior analyst by Datapro (Gartner), and have independently worked with IDC on spreadsheet analysis, ISG/Saugatuck on survey analysis and analytic reports, and Cutter Consortium on thought leadership papers (among many others).

I have also done numerous blogs and some infographics (I have some abilities in design and graphics).
