Research carried about by the University of Manchester unveiled a 'mental health crisis' and found that schools were facing increased demand, with a decrease in resources and provision.
Research published from King's College London shows that young adults who are lonely are more likely to suffer mental health problems than their peers. With levels of mental illness and low well-being increasing across the UK, and about 75% of adults with a mental illness first experiencing symptoms before the age of 25, if loneliness is a key contributor then more needs to be done to tackle it.
