Through my family dairy and grain farm, my passion for the agricultural industry grew into a career. While at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, I was able to expand on my knowledge of public relations, event planning, journalism, and basic agricultural communications knowledge. Through internships and then my full time career, I have continuously worked on my skills and my love for talking to farmers.
Currently, I am working for Illinois Farm Bureau and taking over my family dairy and grain farm with my brother and sister.

For a graphic communications course at SIUC, I created an infographic on basic agriculture facts. Presenting this infographic was interesting since I was the only student that was from a rural background in my class of about 30.

For my advanced PR course, I studied Prairie Farms Dairy Inc. and created a public relations proposal with my research. Then, I worked on creating a media kit for the cooperative.
