I am a writer in Los Angeles, California.

Bylines at Shondaland.com, AfterEllen.com, IntoMore.com, and TheRadicalNotion.com, where I am a contributing Editor.

As an undocumented DREAMer and an LGBT+ individual, my fiction and culture pieces are heavily influenced by my experience as member of different communities considered to be minorities in the U.S. In addition, I like to explore LGBT+ presence in the media in order to bring attention to forms of entertainment featuring accurate representation, more specifically of queer women of color.

On the night of November 18, 1901, in Mexico City, a disgruntled citizen called for the authorities to break up a party being held nearby. This party was a ball. Not the first, nor the last of its kind in the city, in which male elites dressed to the nines and danced the night away, often times concluding the evening with a raffle in which the coveted prize was a male escort.

How 'Schitt's Creek' Is Helping Usher in the Era of the Gay Rom-Com

As I've been both anticipating and contemplating the forthcoming finale of the fifth season of Schitt's Creek - airing tonight on Pop TV - I've often found myself lavishing in the gift that is perhaps the best relationship on TV right now: David Rose and Patrick Brewer.
