Marquise A. Jackson

Georgia State University - Senior - GSTV News Reporter

United States

With a deep passion for journalism, it is my belief that we all have a unique story waiting to be communicated. My strong reporting, interviewing and feature writing talents allows me to bring those stories to life. In 2007, I received the “Best Writer Award” by NABJ Short Course. Along with my editing and shooting skills, I am certainly capable of fulfilling my responsibilities as an effective news reporter. In 2008, my work during my internship with HLN’s "Morning Express w/Robin Meade" earned me a Rock Star award recognition for volunteering to write a few aired scripts to assist with the workload. In 2014, I ranked 8th place for the “Best Television News Feature Reporter” category by the Southeast Journalism Conference in the "Best of the South" competition. Ultimately, my desire is to be that determined voice for those who need to be heard, who want their story told.
