Jeffrey Meehan has worked in the media industry for nearly seven years. He was named editor of the Pahrump Valley Times at the end of 2019, just over two years after joining the company in June 2017.
Prior to being named editor, Meehan worked as a general assignment reporter for the Times. Meehan began his career in 2014 for the Las Vegas Business Press, where he worked as a business and general assignment reporter. Meehan's work has also appeared in the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

A national movement to effect change on gun laws made its way to the Pahrump Valley. Tim Wombaker, principal at Rosemary Clarke Middle School, said in an email that over 100 students participated in a "monitored" walkout in protest of gun violence due to the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida that claimed 17 lives and injured over a dozen-one of the deadliest mass shootings at a school in the U.S.
