White nationalists wielding Tiki torches rally again in Charlottesville

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (WCMH) - Less than two months after a woman was killed while counter-protesting in Charlottesville, Virginia, white nationalists gathered in the city once again. According to NBC29 WVIR, around three dozen white nationalists gathered in Emancipation Park, formerly known as Lee Park, wielding Tiki torches.

Gun maker stocks rally after Las Vegas shooting

NEW YORK (WCMH) - In the wake of America's most deadly mass shooting, the gun market has rallied. According to MarketWatch, shares of gun maker Smith & Wesson's parent company American Outdoor Brands Corp spiked 3% Monday afternoon. Sterm, Ruger & Co. Inc. and Vista Outdoor Inc. reported similar jumps.

3.4 magnitude earthquake rattles Guernsey County

Published: QUAKER CITY, Ohio (WCMH) - Authorities say a 3.4 magnitude earthquake shook east central Ohio late Friday night. The earthquake happened just before midnight. According to the Guernsey County Sheriff's Office, most of the calls received reporting the earthquake came from Quaker City and Senecaville, just southwest of Barnesville.

Big changes to Ohio's concealed carry law to take effect Tuesday

COLUMBUS (WCMH) - Big changes to Ohio's concealed carry law are coming as Senate Bill 199 takes effect today. The changes to the law will allow anyone with a concealed carry license to carry their firearm in more places, including day care facilities, non-secure areas of airports and private planes.

EPA wants to raise fine against Rover pipeline builder

CANTON, Ohio (AP/WCMH) - Ohio's environmental watchdog agency has increased the proposed penalty for the builder of a high-pressure natural gas pipeline after tests found diesel fuel in drilling mud spilled in a wetland. The Canton Repository reports the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency said Thursday it's proposing to raise the penalty against Rover pipeline builder Energy Transfer from $430,000 to $914,000.
