Freelance Writer

United States of America

I grew up in the East Bay and San Francisco with my mother, father, and two sisters. I went to college at San Francisco State University and I received a Bachelors Degree in English Literature, with a minor in Philosophy. I live in San Francisco currently, and I am immersed in the local community of artists and writers who both write professionally and unprofessionally. Locally, i have a strong interest in what it means to be at an epicenter of influence within the Age of Information and the mass development of technology. I am also very interested in urban planning issues, food policy and farming, and environmental concerns pertaining to sustainability within an urban atmosphere. Academically, I am strongly influenced by the Yale school of Deconstruction, Animal Studies(Jonathan Safran Foer, Martha Nussbaum etc.), Psychoanalysis, and Translation Theory. On my own time I am very interested in creative writing, particularly in the field of long-fiction, and I am in the process of writing a novel that is tentatively titled, Good Morning, Captain. Aside from the writing world I am very interested in biking, music production and sound engineering, experimental film, and home brewing.
