Being a Christian: What Does It Mean?

"I'm spiritual, not religious." Apparently, this quote hit Western culture like a wave in the 60s. I'm not sure how popular this sentence is now, but it surely was a common saying among Christians until (at least) five years ago. It basically serves as a defense against perceptions that Christianity is weird and extreme.

The No. 2 nationally ranked York University Lions men's soccer team extend their winning streak after a 4-0 victory over the Waterloo Warriors on Sunday (Oct. 12). With the win, the Lions clinched first place in the OUA West Division standings for the eighth straight year and have secured a first round bye in the playoffs.

Game Stats QUEM YRKM Sponsors The York University Lions men's basketball team defeated the OUA East division-rival Queen's Gaels 76-63 on Saturday (Jan. 17) at the Tait McKenzie Centre. The home team dominated the first quarter at 20-9. However, the Gaels caught up before halftime by a thin margin at 30-28.

Undefeated Blues takes down Lions women's volleyball team

The York Lions women's volleyball team lost to the number five CIS ranked University of Toronto Varsity Blues in four sets on November 16 at the Tait McKenzie Centre. The first set was a close run. Toronto won narrowly 32-30. York replied with a 25-18 win in the second set.

LIONS WIN SECOND STRAIGHT WITH VICTORY OVER RIDGEBACKS

The York University Lions men's hockey team achieved a 5-2 victory over the UOIT Ridgebacks on Saturday (Jan. 10) at Canlan Ice Sports for its second straight victory to start the new year. An early goal by the Lions shocked the visitors, who pressured offensively early in the period. (Woodbridge, Ont.)

RECORDS COME DOWN ON DAY ONE OF OUA CHAMPIONSHIPS

­­ At the end of Day One of the 2015 OUA Track and Field Championships hosted by York University at the Toronto Track and Field Centre, the Toronto Varsity Blues lead the women's standings while the Guelph Gryphons lead the men. The Blues have an eight-point advantage over second place Western Mustangs with 77 points.

For this cover, I made an all-electronic recording. This means that I did not use any live instruments or sound effects. For the drums, I took samples both online and from Jam Packs and combined them into a single beat. For the synthesizer parts, I used my USB MIDI M-Audio Keystation 49.
