Cross country runner Chantal Duncan makes transition to Nebraska

Several times a year, Nebraska coach Matt Martin makes a 12 hour flight to Jamaica. The brutally hot and humid tropical weather is a constant during the trips he takes to scout for potential cross country and track and field athletes. Chantal Duncan is one of the reasons he makes the trips.

I am retiring from the NBA to become Bill Simmons' permanent podcast co-host

This past summer has been incredibly difficult for me as a player and as a man. It began with the rush of emotions that came with finally being able to call myself an NBA champion. Knowing that I had reached the pinnacle of my chosen craft brought a feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment that I had not thought possible; and yet, something was missing.

NU men's cross country team ends season on high note

The Nebraska cross country team ran in its final meet at the NCAA Regionals, which took place in Kansas at Rim Rock Farm on Friday. After finishing No. 11 at the Big Ten Championships two weeks ago, the men's team finished with 368 points and placed 12 out of 26 teams. The team is happy with the improvement after finishing 20th in last year's regional competition.

Students already have sinking feeling about this year's spring concert

The start of the school year and the fall weather usually sees good moods on campus at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, but this semester, the student body can't seem to shake an overwhelming sense of dread. After a few questionable spring concert artist announcements, the students just aren't feeling great about this year's upcoming performance.

National preseason poll favors NU bowling

Bill Straub and the Nebraska bowling team may not have the celebrity of Tom Osborne and the Nebraska football team of old, but they have the accolades to match. Straub has coached the team since 1996 and has won five NCAA national championships while he has been at the helm.

Two days before kickoff, student season tickets still available

With only two days until the Husker season opener against BYU, football season tickets are still available to purchase for coach Mike Riley's first season at Nebraska. Students can go online and get tickets in the south section of Memorial Stadium. Right now, the Huskers are riding a 340 sellout streak at Memorial Stadium.

Husker cross country ready to move up in Big Ten

After finishing 11th at the Big Ten Championships the last several years, the men's cross country team's main focus this year is to make a jump up in the standings. Coach Dave Harris is viewing the regular season as some much needed training before the Big Ten Championships on Nov.
